This is my latest personal work, I like to make fantastical characters and this is one I have had on my mind for a while. I wanted to make this ridiculous guy because I thought it would be a hilarious skin for model in a video game. I was inspired by a meme of a warhammer 40k knight who represented a faction of space marines devoted to a burger deity or something weird like that, I loved the idea and it slowly evolved in my head into the burger knight.

When I take on personal projects, I am trying to grow my skills as an artist so with that in mind, I challenged myself to make a fully modeled, textured and rigged character from scratch that could be implemented into the Unreal Engine using the base Unreal Engine 5 rig. By using the Unreal Engine rig as my base during the rigging process, I was able to take the burger knight directly into unreal engine 5 and it now is compatible with the entire animation library available in the game engine.

For this whole process I used Photoshop to create the concept art, Blender for the initial box modeling, Zbrush to sculpt the finer details, substance painter to create the various textures, rigged it in Blender using the base rig from Unreal Engine 5 and rendered it in Blender before shipping it out to Unreal Engine 5 to make sure the rig was working properly. Finally I compiled all of the renders in After Effects and I made a 3D printable model of the burger knight, going through the process of testing it and having it 3D printed

The Final rigged model sits at 47,504 Faces, 92,107 Triangles, 46,583 Vertices and 2 4k UDIM texture sets.
